The St. Albert Housing Society offers a broad spectrum of initiatives to ameliorate housing conditions in Alberta's oldest community.
The Society is currently applying for grants, organizing funding and co-ordinating with the City to build a multi-unit apartment building that will accommodate individuals and families in St. Albert. At present, designs are being approved for the Big Lake Pointe multi-family affordable rental development.
In addition to the Society's high-profile multi-unit housing project, we are partnering to host a program that provides education and financial support for home buyers. This program assists residents who wish to purchase a home, but have moderate incomes. Information about this program can be found at www.thehomeprogram.ca
In partnership with local agencies, the Society is starting a support program for single-parent families. This program will encourage positive family environments and skills for self-sufficiency.
