Join us for the St. Albert Housing Society’s 14th Annual Fundraiser, hosted by Josh Classen, meteorologist with CTV Edmonton, and featuring special guest speaker Joshua Evans.The St. Albert Housing Society provides a vital service in St. Albert for individuals and families who face the challenges of securing safe and affordable rental housing. This year’s luncheon will raise funds to directly support our HOMEconnection Program—a short-term bridging program that helps individuals and families of modest means transition into stable, safe, and affordable housing with the support they need for sustainable success.Your participation will ensure more families can remain in St. Albert and build a strong sense of community.

Joshua Evans | Guest Speaker
Joshua Evans is an Associate Professor of Human Geography at the University of Alberta. His research explores the geographies of exclusion and inclusion, with a focus on how spaces of care, home, and work shape the lived experiences of socially marginalized and vulnerable populations. He also examines how spaces of policy development and implementation contribute to creating healthy, enabling, and equitable urban environments.Most recently, Joshua has been leading the Affordable Housing Solutions Lab (AHSL) at the University of Alberta. The Lab’s goal is to act as a catalyst for expanding the supply, diversity, and accessibility of safe, affordable, and adequate housing options in Edmonton, Alberta, and beyond.

Event Host Josh Classen, CTV Edmonton's Chief Meteorologist since 2003, is a Lloydminster native and NAIT graduate who also earned a Meteorology degree from Mississippi State University. Known for his trusted weather forecasts and community involvement, Josh hosts charity events and educates future forecasters through his "Weather Watchers" program, earning numerous local accolades, including Avenue Magazine’s Top 40 Under 40.
